tollywood bigfight next month six movie released 89988989 300x218 Bigfight: 10 films releases in February ! aplive.net
February 2013  is going to be an unusually hectic month for Tollywood. There are as many as 10 films ready for release, which include 5 big budget films, 3 dubbed films and 2 small budget films.
First to release would be Ram’s much awaited film ‘Ongole Gitta’ (February 1), followed by another big budget film, Prabhas’ ‘Mirchi’ on February 7. Siddharth and Samantha starrer ‘Jabardasth’ by Nandini Reddy, Manchu Lakshmi’s ‘Gundello Godari’ and Allu Sirish’s debut film ‘Gouravam’ will release in third week of February.
Apart from these five films, there are Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kadali’ and Vikram’s ‘David’, set to release in February. Though the Tamil version of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kadali’ is being released in Tamil in February, the makers have yet to confirm the date of Telugu version release. Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli dream project

There was official announcement few months back   about Mahesh Babu - Rajamouli movie from producers  K L Narayana and S Gopal Reddy of Durga arts banner  that the movie will start after Sukumar’s movie shoot.
Till date either Mahesh or Rajamouli have confirmed it but, latest we hear that Rajamouli will  work with  Mahesh after Prabhas’s prestigious 70crore project ‘Bahubali’ which may take a year plus time to complete.  Both Rajamouli and Mahesh  are busy with their projects and can work together only in 2014.
On the other side, Many doubt on Rajamouli‘s character, Rajamouli who always wants to take whole credit for his movies may not like to work with  super stars as he already told in many interviews that he can’t handle top heroes. The main reason is  despite of Rajamuoli’s creativity & Hardwork whole credit goes to  top heroes and Rajamouli brand image might get spoiled & might fall into regular directors category waiting for another  top hero for call-sheets.

Will Damarukam create a sensation this Dussehra

King Akkineni Nagarjuna’s socio fantasy extravaganza ‘Damarukam’ is all set to hit the screens now on October 19th, as announced by Nagarjuna himself. The movie has completed its censor formalities and it is now carrying a super report. Many Tollywood personalities are saying that the movie has the potential to create a major sensation this Dussehra.
With a budget in excess of 40 Crores and a story line involving both God and the Devil, the film sure has the ingredients for a grand spectacle. Extensive use of special effects has been made. A stunning interval block and strong second half seem to be getting the most emphasis in everyone’s ‘inside report’.
The movie has Anushka as the heroine and Devi Sri has scored the music. If the movie turns out to be as good as they say it is, we are well and truly on our way towards a quite entertaining cinematic experience this Dussehra.

Item Song By Tamanna In Ram Charan Zanjeer

After a long time, Tamanna Bhatia is heading to Mumbai to star in her second Hindi movie ‘Himmatwala’. Unlike Ileana who went de-glam to prove her acting prowess, Tammu is going for a glamorous treat as everyone knows her acting potential already.
Buzz in Mumbai circles is that Megapower star Charan’s ‘Zanjeer’ is going to feature Tamanna. This is in a raunchy item number where our milky siren will groove like fire to compete with Munni Badnams and Chikni Chamelis. After looking at the dancing skills of Tammu, the makers have taken this decision, a source revealed.
With the kind of blessings she is getting from Mega Camp, maybe she will raise to stardom in Bollywood circuit too. But let us see if she is ready to accept this offer in the first place or not

NTR Baadshah Look’s Like Mahesh Babu Dookudu

One will definitely say that Baadshah teaser has created ripples in Film Circuits for its glossy touch and lavish look. Some say that Jr NTR has apparently copied the look of Mahesh Babu from Dookudu and even Sreenu Vytla has conceived the same way he has filmed his previous blockbuster.
That springing hairstyle and rugged look with posh dialogue delivery are all reminding us of Mahesh, say few people. But fans are saying that it is Thaman’s music that made the trailer look like ‘Dookudu’ as both the background scores sound similar.
For now, Dookudu shadow is still haunting Sreenu Vytla and its effect has fallen on Baadshah for sure. Maybe, upcoming teasers and song videos might the change way how people look at Baadshah, rather say Jr NTR copied Baadshah.

Yevadu item number better than Kevvu Keka

Mega Power star Ramcharan’s ‘Yevadu’ music turned to be highlight with music sensation Devi’s item number which turned to be super hit song according to film unit.
Music director Devi Sri Prasad is on an item number spree. After his composition Kevvu Keka from Pawan Kalyan starrer Gabbar Singh, scorched the music charts looks like DSP is set for an encore. This time around it’s for Ram Charan’s upcoming flick Yevadu. The music director has just finished composing the song that goes Gajuwaka centre lo Ayyo Papam . . .
Apparently the racy number has got the entire cast and crew of Yevadu raving about it. It is learnt that director Vamsi Paidipally is planning to shoot the song on a lavish scale. Sources in the film’s unit say that the song is going to be even better than Kevvu Keka and that it is going to be a sure shot hit.

2013 summer to decide number 2 hero of Tollywood

As reported, Young Tiger NTR’s highly anticipated film ‘Baadshah’, directed by Srinu Vytla, release date has been postponed as the makers decided to shoot action sequences with foreign technicians for rich look and this will cause delay in production. As per an inner source, the movie will hit the screens 27th march, 2013. So, NTR will compete with other star heroes Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan in the season.
Mahesh Babu’s much delayed yet to be titled film in the direction of Sukumar is scheduled to release for summer and Ram Charan’s ‘Yevadu’ directed by Vamsi Paidipally will also be releasing in the same time. Cherry and Mahesh are riding high with successes but NTR who has been running on rough patches with failures hopes much on Baadshah. So, 2013 summer is going to be colorful with these star heroes films and all these have been trying hard for number 2 position in Tollywood. If Pawan’s ‘Rambubu’ strikes the gold.

Julayi Movie Review

Cast : Allu Arjun,leana D’Cruz,Rajendra Prasad,Sonu Sood

Banner :Haarika & Hassine Creations
Written & Directed & Screenplay:- Trivikram Srinivas
Producers :- S. Radha Krishna D.V.V. Danayya (presenter)
Music : Devi Sri Prasad
Cinematography : Chota K. Naidu,Shyam K. Naidu

 Rating : 4/5
Story:
Ravi (Allu Arjun) is a pakka Julayi. He is a happy go-lucky person. At a point in his life, he comes across Madhu (Illeana) who is a hi-tech engineer. He falls in love with illeana. After few incidents, Madhu also falls in love with Ravi. In a parallel thread, a gang of people search for Ravi and try to kill him. This leads to an accident which causes a twist in the story. Who is that gang? Why do they want to kill Ravi? How does Ravi come out of the accident and realizes the value of life and responsiblity. At the same time, who is Illeana? Does she really love Ravi? Why does Illeana come into Ravi’s life? Is there any reason behind that? How does Ravi put an end to the gang and win Illeana’s heart? Watch it on the silver screen.
Performance:
It is really good to see Bunny back in a character like Julayi. He suits well for urban youth characters. After watching him in a masculine character in ‘Badrinath’, we feel like a breeze when we watch him in this film. He had already done roles like this in ‘Happy’ and ‘Arya’. So, it is not a  new / difficult task for him. He tried his level best to utter the one-liners with ease. He almost succeeded at all the places. He has a huge fan following in Kerala. He had taken extreme care in his dressing style and dances in order to impress the audience outside Andhra pradesh. When I was watching a couple of songs on the silver screen, I felt that bunny justified his ‘Stylish Star’ title’ with this film.
Illeana is back to ‘Kick’ days. I liked her in ‘Kick’. After that, this is the film she looked too beautiful. She also took care to put on few pounds after her last film ‘Snehitudu’. Her action near the interval scene is good. She appears as a hi-tech engineer in the film (working in I** company) with a responsibility towards society.
Sonu Sood is good. There are many other artists in the film. Everyone filled the bill to bring out some laughter. Rajendra Prasad’s character is as usual. He had done it many times in the past.
Technical:
Cinematography is excellent. Dances are good. Editing is crisp. Music director Devi Sri prasad Music And Background Music is Awesome
Trivikram followed a simple and straight-forward narration style. There are no major suspenses and no back-forth falshback narrations. He properly tunes the audience mind when the initial voice over is given in the beginning. Even though the film is good, I can’t resist from saying that this film has similarities with ‘Ammayi Kosam’ starring Meena and Raviteja. ‘Ammayi Kosam’ was a message oriented film without any commercial elements. But here in this case, they have taken care to add commercial elements and made it appealing to telugu audience without giving a heavy dose of message.

Analysis:.

There is a famous saying ‘Focus on something which you are best at and victory will be yours’. That completely applies to Julayi film. Instead of trying something new, the director tried out a subject/genre which is most comfortable with. It seems, Trikiram had decided not to try anything different after his last film ‘Khaleja’. Even Allu Arjun seemed to stop focussing on roles which don’t suit him. Trivikram is at his best for scripts like these. He already proved his mettle for films like Nuvvu Naku Nachav, Malleswari, Chirunnavutho etc. I think, even if you wake him up in the midnight and ask him to pen a script like this, he would give it in a couple of hours. The entire film flows like a smooth fluid from the beginning to the end.
Drawbacks:
First fifteen minutes after the interval involving the hospital scenes.
  • Nothing new in the story line.
  • Too many number of artists.
Highlights:

  • Trivikram’s Screenplay and punch dialogues / one-liners.
  • Comedy
  • Music
  • Cinematography
  • Pakado Pakado song. It has the interesting Cricket backdrop. I liked that idea. You should watch it on the screen.
  • Rolling titles at the end of the movie.
  • The entire love track between Arjun and Illeana.
Verdict:
It delivers what is promised and what you expect.  Go and watch it.

Eega business closing

After 2 weeks on buzzing at Box-office, Rajamouli’s Eega lost its strength to fly high in its 3rd week at Box-office. According to trade the collection from all centers have come down drastically. The main reason for this underperformance is lack of star her in eega movie. Any movie at least in south India need a good star cast to make it a block buster. Whereas,  Eega which does not have any star hero is finding difficult to grab the repeat audience attention. Without repeat audience the movie graph has fell down before excepted.
But Rajamouli to gain the attention of public and keep Eega mania buzzing, he raised a curtain on piracy targeting NRI’s where Eega was doing a good business. But that doesn’t seems to be worked , Eega already gathered enough collection than excepted and after this week Eega business is closing in many centers even though there is no big film to give a fight .One should appreciate Eega team for superb publicity and making Eega a success without star hero in it.

Tunnega Tunnega Review

Cast :: Sumanth Chowdary, Ria Chakravarthy and others

Music Director :: Karthik Raaja
Director :: M S Raju
Producer :: Maganti Ram Chandran
 Rating : 2.75/5
STORY:
Karthik Ramaswamy (Sumanth Ashwin) and Nidhi (Rhea Chakravorthy) grow up together hating each other. In between Nidhi flies to US to pursue her education while Karthik aspire to become a top dancer. Karthik happen to be the son of Madurai Ramaswamy (Prabhu) a chef who is treated as more than a friend by Ravindra Babu (Naga Babu), Nidhi’s father and a top business magnate.
Ravindra Babu organizes a party to celebrate the occasion of Nidhi’s return from US and also his Dad (Vijayachander) sashtipoorti. Love blossoms between Karthik and Nidhi but her cousins play spoil sport and gets them separated. How Karthik emerge winner winning his love and becoming a star dancer has to be watched on silver screen.
PERFORMANCES:
Sumanth Ashwin showed good ease in dances and acting. He expressed quite well with his eyes many times and looked cute in his acting. His dance performance balancing the coke can with his feet and hands stands out. There are not much stunts in the film except for one fight to show his talent. He is the future lover boy of tollywood.
Rhea Chakravorthy looked a misfit and miscast for the role of a teenage girl. She looked elder to Sumanth through out the movie. She need to improve her acting and expressions. Prabhu, Nagababu, Shayaji Shinde performed their roles to perfection while MS. Narayana, Chandramohan and others did not have much scope to perform. Parachuri Venkateswara Rao as Sumanth’s grand father delivered a few punch dialogues to liven the environment in the film.
TECHNICALS:
Karthik Raja’s music stands out in the film. Most of the songs are melodious and keeps one glued to the screens. ‘Tuniga Tuniga’ song stands out. Background score matched with the tempo of the film. S. Gopal Reddy used his vast experience in cinematography and captured beautiful locations at the shooting spots to attract movie lovers. Editing by KV. Krishna Reddy could have been little better. Production values in the film by Maganti Ramji and Padmini arts are quite good.
Director MS Raju tried to  balance emotional and love scenes equally in the second half but faltered  in some scenes Second heroine Manisha enters the scene to give a twist for the ongoing love story which is a routine move by the director. Though the entire plot seems to be convincing, audience will come to conclusion about what the end would be.
ANALYSIS:
Movie starts with Dr James(Sayaji Shinde) telling the flash back story to the priest(Chandra Mohan). The first half of the movie offers lot of love and hilarious episodes between Karthik, Nidhi and their families. Love chemistry between the lead pair has been shot very well and so are the emotional scenes.
The way Karthik tries to woo his childhood enemy Nidhi is impressive and when Nidhi is ready to express her feelings to Karthik, pre climax mode starts. Family members of Nidhi, who doesn’t like Karthik, creates misunderstanding and portray him as a culprit infront of everyone. Pre climax is heavy with some emotional quotient between Naga Babu and Prabhu’s families.
For a love entertainer to be successful it is important to have the right kind of music and the required padding support to appeal to the audience. Both were missing in this one. While the first half tries to go on a lighter vein and brings few funny moments, the interval bang was decent.
The second half however fails to generate that kind of interest and looks quite dislodged. Overall, this is a film which is good in production values but not so in terms of content and substance. At the box office, this will fizzle out.
Verdict:
Fresh Look… But fails to fly.

Eega business down by 50%

Rajamouli-directed film Eega was released in limited number of screens in USA due to unavailablity of cinema halls and the movie had single show on several screens in the opening week. So the makers increased the number of shows on several screens and also released it in 20 more cinema halls. They expected it to fetch even better collection than the last Friday.
But to their disappointment, Eega has failed to meet their calculations in the country on the second Friday. Sudeep-Samantha starrer movie has collected Rs 39 lakhs ($ 70,744) at the USA Box Office on the second Friday. Its business has fallen down by more than 50%. With this, the film has grossed a total of Rs 4.02 crores ($ 730,457) in nine days of its release in the country.
Whereas Billa 2 and Cocktail, which hit the screens in USA this Friday, have opened to an earth shattering response on the first day of their release in the country. ‬Billa 2 has collected Rs 33.34 lakhs ($ 60,478), while Cocktail raked in Rs 1.21 crore ($ 220,000). Both the movies have surely affected the collection of Eega on their opening day in the country.
