Both Ranga and Vasu figure it out the only way they could sell the land is by convincing both the rival leaders. Circumstances forces Ranga to join as henchman in Konda Reddy group.
By staying in Konda Reddy group, Ranga tries to woo Anitha (Isha Chawla), daughter of Lala Goud so that she will help him in his mission.
PERFORMANCES
Sunil does a good job by bringing in many variations, but appeared eccentric at times. His six-pack abs showed off the amount of hard work he had invested in his body. Needless to mention about his dancing skills; he is just mind-blowing. His comedy timing too is fantastic, which he is famous for.He even stood out in action sequences.
Isha Chawla is looking so gorgeous than that in her debut Prema Kavali. She did a commendable work. Dev Gill, after Magadheera, proved that he can be a full-fledged villain. Though he repeated the act here, he is outstanding as baddie.
Pradeep Rawat, Pragathi and Satyam Rajesh are passable. Ali as Sunil’s buddy helps in giving out good amount of laughs. Raghu Babu, Kota and Seetha are good.
Ali and Raghubabu are good in their respective roles. Dev Gil and Pradeep Rawat are ok as the villains. Prithviraj brings about a few laughs as moneylender Eedhara Gavarraju. Telangana Sakunthala makes a brilliant and hilarious cameo appearance.
TECHNICAL DEPARTMENTS
Veerabhadram has handled the story, screenplay and direction for this movie and he has done a good job. He will add to his reputation as a good commercial director. The screenplay in the first half is good but some care should have been taken in the second half. Editing is neat.
Cinematography is alright.Dialogues are very good and they deliver the required punch in key sequences. Anoop Rubens has done a good job with the background score, especially in the climax fight.
Choreography is good and Sunil’s abilities have been utilized well.
ANALYSIS
‘Poola Rangadu’ movie is a wholesome entertainer what audience expects from Sunil movie. Director concentrated on Sunil strengths which are comedy and dances and weaved the screenplay around him. Director preserved the Sunil six pack curiosity till the climax and revealed it with perfect base.
The first hour is very loud and the screenplay is baffling with plenty of scenes filling the space and killing the time. Sunil’s Bheemavaram English dialogue is the only saving grace. The scene is lengthy but actually a savior for the first-half.
Coming to the second act, it is filled with everyday stuff and fell short of comedy besides sporting too many cat-and-mouse chases, fights, silly comedy, over sentiments, heavy dose of emotions and union of two rival families – which we all saw in several flicks.
Even the climax gets dragged more than the limit, thus playing the spoilsport. But the, songs are too good and fights are inspiring. Sunil comes cross as a commercial hero with Poola rangadu, though it seems silly for regular film-lovers.
FINAL ANALYSIS
Poola Rangadu is colourful entertainer which can be watched by whole family.
