Even as he has apparently forgotten about RGV Ramayanam, Ram Gopal Varma has talked about his plans to launch a political satire next year. "I have never been interested in politics. But I have always showed extreme curiosity about studying the psychology of politicians", the wise man begins. (Does he understand what 'studying' implies?)
Reddy Garu Poyaru is explicitly based on the post-YSR AP politics. RGV begins the dissertation with a metaphor. "If a stone were to be thrown into water, it would create tiny ripples. But if a 'stone' were to be thrown into the placid pool of politics, it would create a tsunami." He proceeds to talk about the fight for power the relatives of an unnamed leader and the other 'legatees' of his legacy following the death of the mass leader.
"My story follows the story of the unprecedented political consequences witnessed in the State, the multitude of scams that have come to light and the war between various media outlets after the death of a particular leader." RGV is venturing to expose the blatancy through his fictional story.
"In my story there develops an existential fight for power politics after the untimely demise of a great leader. His own people want to promote themselves with his death as the investment. While others want to make their heyday after his death. The incident that shattered the political pool and its consequences are the premise of my story."
RGV promises to uncork the tangle in his own style. If he achieves that, he would be better than all the pundits/experts worth their name!
