“Photo-sharing app Instagram” Coming To Android Soon

Instagram founder Kevin Systrom announced on Sunday that their registered users nearly doubled since December. Instagram has launched just two years ago, which has now  27 million registered users.

Systrom said,

“At the end of the day, people are really excited about Instagram and they’re not excited about it because it makes your photos look beautiful. They’re excited because it networks people across the world and it’s the single fastest growing thing in mobile period,” . “It’s Facebook-level of engagement that we’re seeing.”

He then said that an Android version of the application is coming “really soon” . At present, Instagram is available only on Apple’s iOS platform.

The app is currently in private beta stage. He also noted, Instagram team had been “working hard on making this one of the best Android apps you’ll ever see.”

He also said,

“It’s one of the most amazing Android apps you’ll ever see and in some ways, it’s better than our iPhone app.”
