Director Shankar and actor Vikram's new big budget film was announced officially on Friday (June 22). In Tamil, the film is titled "I" , while Telugu version is yet to be titled. Shankar and Vikram are teaming after six year. Last they worked together in Aparichitudu. This new film is being produced by Aascar Ravichandran who also produced Aparichitudu. This big budget movie has already garnered interest of movie buffs and the industry. Samantha is the heroine while Tamil comedian Santhanam and Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi do pivotal roles. Renowned cinematographer PC Sreeram will wield the camera for the movie, teaming up with Shankar for the first time. AR Rahman has already scored a song for the film. Hollywood costume designer Mary Vogt of Men in Black fame will be the costume designer. Peter Ming of China along with Anal Arasu will choreograph the action scenes. The movie will go to the floors on July 15, 2012 in Chennai. |
