How to install Cyanogen Mod 10 Jellybean 4.1.1 Firmware in Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710


Here is the good news for the customers of Sprint Galaxy S3 as now this smartphone can be updated with CyanogenMod 10 Jellybean 4.1.1 firmware. Officially the updating of the firmware in the device will soon be released by Samsung but till then this unofficial update will help you to update your Sprint Galaxy S3. Along with the whole updating process of the firmware we will also provide you  its features. To start the updating process you need to root your device and as the device switch to root mode the warranty of the device is lost and it can be get back only by applying again the original firmware. And also your device should be installed with the ‘Clock recovery mode’ before the process starts.

  • Enable “USB Debugging mode” by following the path go to Settings then go to Applications then select development and then select USB Debugging.
  • All the antivirus suites should be uninstalled from the device as it interrupts in the middle of the process.

Follow the guidelines below to update Sprint Galaxy S3 with CM10 Jellybean 4.1.1 firmware:

  • If your device is not rooted before the procedure starts then you should download “One click tool to root” and also install the “Custom Recovery image” in your Galaxy S3 and now after that install ROM Manager. And then you will have to show Clock Work Mod recovery in your S3.
  • Further download the CyanogenMod 10 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S3 Package along with the Google Apps Package in your PC and then to place the downloaded zip files in the phone, connect the device with the PC with USB cable.
  • Switch off the Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710 to enter in to the recovery mode.
  • Press the Volume Up Key and Center button along with the Power button to make device enter in to the recovery mode.
  • Now install the downloaded file and for that select the “install zip from SD card” and “select the zip from SD card” with the help of Volume rocker Key, press the Power button to choose the zip file that we have copied above from options and also select “Google Apps Package”. This whole work will take around 5-8 minutes.
  • Once the device is installed with the both the Zip files, then you will be directed to Recovery screen where select the “Go Back” to go and select the “Reboot System Now” to reboot the device with the help of volume rocker keys and Power button.
By now, you have successfully updated Sprint Galaxy S3 SPH-L710 with the CyanogenMod 10 Jellybean 4.1 Firmware. To check whether the device is installed correctly or not for that go to “Settings” and then select the option “About Phone” where you will aee the current version of the phone as- Cyanogen Mod 10 Firmware.
