FACEBOOK Decided To Introduce App Centre as Google Play rival....!

THE SOCIAL NETWORK Facebook has announced plans to launch an App Centre as a place to find "social web, desktop and mobile apps".
According to Facebook its App Centre, which it will begin rolling out to users over the next few weeks, will help the social network's 900 million users discover the "best apps" that their friends enjoy using, whether they be desktop, web or mobile applications.
"App Center will become the new, central place to find great apps like Draw Something, Pinterest, Spotify, Battle Pirates, Viddy, and Bubble Witch Saga," explained Facebook engineer Aaron Brady in a blog post.
"The App Center is designed to grow mobile apps that use Facebook - whether they're on iOS, Android or the mobile web. From the mobile App Center, users can browse apps that are compatible with their device, and if a mobile app requires installation, they will be sent to download the app from the App Store or Google Play."
As well as redirecting users to third-party stores, Facebook App Centre will also be there to encourage developers to create paid-for apps for Facebook.com. The social network will take a 30 per cent cut from developers who create paid-for apps solely for Facebook, the same share taken by Apple on IOS apps.
Facebook's launch of the App Centre comes just days ahead of its imminent initial public offering (IPO) on Wall Street, and might be viewed as a clever - or desperate - move to fill the web site's gaping lack of presence in the mobile market.
